Found this one while gopher hunting.



I've never been a horn hunter, never learned how to score, but I sure wouldn't mind running into the owner of this one during hunting season! Main beam = 32-7/8".
 
Well I hadn't considered elk, I thought they typically had a fork at the end of the main beam. I've never hunted them. But there are elk in the area. Southern Alberta.

I could literally see for miles where I picked that one up. No sign of the other.

The smaller horns are hard to find the match for. Bigger sets are often laying side by side (I suspect due to the weight they shake the other side off rather than be unbalanced). The bigger bulls also drop earlier than the smaller ones.
