Hey guys, I was wondering if some of you turkey hunters could help me out with which cooler size to get for when i'll go turkey hunting this season.
I went to canadiantire today to check them out and I thought a 55L would be enough, than again what do I know I've never been turkey hunting.
I know turkeys are pretty big and I need extra space for ice jugs so maybe I should get a 65L ?
Let me know what size you recommend, thanks in advance!

Unless you already have a large cooler, I'd get a 65L or bigger, you can always toss a turkey and some lunch, frozen bottles, yadda yadda. For fun, I checked out my ct online and they have a Coleman Marine on wheels, 95L on sale for $116, clearance. I don't have that cooler but I do have one that big. Every now and then I need a stupid big cooler.

Yeah I was suspecting a 65+. They ain't cheap XD
Thanks guys.

What exactly do you want the cooler for??

I've never felt the need for one and just clean birds in the field or when I get home.

Unless you are gonna be over night, I wouldnt worry about it.

I shoot most of my birds on a property that is 2 hours drive from home. Often bag a bird at first light and start cleaning it in the afternoon. Dead bird goes in the trunk, no issues. Better yet, if you want to use the HOV lane on the way home...
