Coolest rimfire ever!

that looks like a version of the old american 180 or sam 180 rifle/submachinegun- used to be called the 22 cal buzzsaw- that drum holds 180 rounds , hence the name- and yes there was a semi-auto version- i also remember it being on the list of no-no's that was imposed on us back in 92
along with the feathers, lindas, etc

I think Canuk223 had one before it went prohib. There may have even been one model that was just restricted. I remember he was looking into it.

if its the 275 mag, then its shooting at around 25 rounds a second. i believe there are 3 mag sizes for that particular model in the video, 165, 220 and 275. i believe thats a kit on an ar15 that accepts .22s and ejects from the bottom, so pretty cool stuff, though i think its something like 1800 dollars for the upper reciever, though the mags are kinda cheap for how much they hold. i wonder how effective this would be in a war. cheap light ammo, such light recoil that you can aim well enough 1 handed, and solid cover for a good 10 seconds. i'd kinda be like a flame thrower, with a really really really long flame.

I think that the coolest 22lr that we can own in Canada as to be the LM7 upper for the AR15... 22lr, belt fed!

I read an article from a gun mag in the early 80's that said the full auto Sam 180 was issued to a bunch of police agencies. Apparently the few times it was used on a bad guy it dropped them like a stone. Multiple hits, even from a 22lr, would probably overload the nervous system in short order...

That's what the 22lr has going for it (in a semi auto or auto) controlability and shot placement....

there was a video showing it chewing concrete block and a bunch of other stuff, including armour l plate- point being that while one round isn't going to penetrate, mulitple rounds through point x will eventually, point x being penetrated in under a minute on full auto-provided it's accurate fire
