I was going to wait and post once I had the rifle in my hot little hands,
but had to share my excitement.
After looking at a lot of 22lr rifles,I picked the TRP-3.
Bought it from Whittaker Guns in Kentucky.
Had it shipped to Buffalo Gun Center, where it is now sitting.
Sent them my import papers today.
I'm hoping,maybe about four weeks,till all clears.
I'm going to top it off with a Weaver T-36 scope.
The wait is going to kill me.

Congrats on the new purchace :)

I think the TRP-3 is a great gun and well suited for its purpose. Some guys on RFC who are using them for the online matches were turning in some impresive scores.

cooper rimfire

I bought a used trp3 with 150 rounds through it earlier this year but have not got a scope on it yet but do have a tuner installed.

I also purchased a wood trp3 1 of 11 made from cooper through njfguild last year and it took 9 months to get it here and it cost $2400 without scope or tuner and I have both on the gun now but have not shot it yet. Called cooper and it had special wood on it and was the 3rd nicest one in wood they made. They will not be doing any more wood ones soon as the wide wood was very hard to obtain. When I called all the dealers that got wood trp3 this was 1 of 2 left in the usa. What a find so I may not shoot it.

I also found another plain wood one in the deep south in the usa used but it was sold the day before I got ahold of the fella for only $1300 us dollars, nice shape, the guy sold it and bought a hall rimfire benchgun.

You will like it , buy a hoen tuner and get ron to bore the tuner to fit the barrel and do not look back,

buy lots of the team ely ammo coming into Canada this fall.

Thanks for replying Jefferson.
I wasn,t sure if any TRP-3's had made it into Canada.
I bet the wood stocked one is a beauty
I'm going to shoot the gun as is,this season.
I kind of blew the budget, buying the TRP and scope.
Next year,I'll put on a tuner and probably a Jard trigger..

Jard trigger

if you get a jard trigger add 100 bucks to the purchase.

what I mean by this is get about 10 different springs. I am under the impression that the springs are for 2 oz 4 oz 6 oz and so on and so on. they are about $6 each then you can keep different rtrigger pulls for different shooting.

i.e. 2 or 4 or 6 for BR work off a bench

1 pound for gophers.

wish I had done that, just try to get springs after the fact.

those brandon boys brought the trigger in for me reasonable and I am sure they could do the same for you., the factory trigger sucks

Hey Jefferson,
Thanks for the heads up on ordering the springs with the trigger.
I'll just be shooting off the bench,so I won,t need a gopher spring...lol.
Did you eventually get springs from Jard.
Which weight spring do you like the best with the Jard for a light trigger.
Like I said, the cost of rifle and scope has tapped me out for this season,
but I will get the trigger and tuner before next spring.
I'm hoping I'll have the rifle by mid August.
