I have a Daisy Red Ryder bb gun. I have always shot the daisy steel bbs in it but i was wondering if the copper coated bbs will shoot better or worse. Or if you know of any other kind of bb that might shoot different please let me know. Thanks

Hmm, interesting question. And, I will say that I do not notice a difference when steel or copper bb's are fired through our Daisy Red Rider BB guns. They sure are fun out camping! Cans sure take a beating!!!

Cheers

I've only used the Copperhead copper coated BBs and they are crap. If you look closely at the BBs you will see that they are all badly pitted and this effects flight performance. I personally prefer steel BBs, I have also found that they are also slightly larger when measured with a micrometer which gives a tighter fit in the barrel and better performance.

Put the copper coated BB's between two sheets of plate glass and roll around with slight downward pressure.
This will smooth out the pits and dimples and make them better shooters.
If you are really anal, you can measure each BB to get them uniform.KD
