I don't think there is any actually plated shot out there, it's all washed as far as i know.
I've used nickle and copper plated shot for years, and rarely hunt upland birds without it, even in my vintage guns .

They sure did. I still have a bag of no. 6 somewhere. Early 90's was the last time I got some from them
All I have used in the 16ga and 28ga for upland has been copper plated for years now. I find it provides better patterns and works beter when the leaves are heavy.
Stuff I have lately is lawrence brand and only in 10 pound bags and like almost 40 bucks only in 4, 5 or 6 unless that has changed but true copper plated not washed. It came from Precision reloading before they stopped shipping shot to canada.

I find copper washed shot to pattern slightly better. I could never tell a difference in penetration on game between it and regular lead. But I do remember crunching ducks and geese at 50+ yards with old lead shot. Sometimes you would have 1/4" holes where not round lead pellets would rip in
