Trying to age a couple older cooey's I have.
First one... - has slot head screws - only says cooey repeater cal 22 model 60 on the barrel , the magazine tube only takes one twist/turn to get it out.My grandfather's old guy, he passed away 10+ years ago at 94,very accurate, better than the new 10/22 I just bought not sure if that helps age it.
Second - a friend gave it to me...stocks shot, broke in 3 places, barrel and trigger assembly seem fine except for cosmetic, some on the barrel (glue?)...has holes in it for a scope, Phillips screws , says sureshot on the barrel 22 cal S-1-1, doesn't say model 60 , have to twist the magazine twice to get it out.
I know the first one is older just wondering if there are ways to narrow down the years.
Would like to get a replacement stock and see how the second one shoots as well.

The slot headed screw one will be from roughly 1940 to the mid 50's, the other after that up until 1961 if it doesn't say Winchester on it. Hard to pinpoint a real close date. The sure shot was made for Sears. The S-1-1 will be S L LR for short, long or long rifle. Early model 60 stocks may be a bit different as well as the bolt knob. Need a pic or two to tell.

Your right on the S-L-LR, a little bit of a green pad and I could make it out.
I'll take a couple pictures of the stock and bolt later...thanks

My father has another one, says it should be the oldest of the bunch, to be honest I've never seen that one.

thank you...the date makes sense as my father said this was a second one he had, bought later from a friend
