I heard our local DJ yakking to a chap on the phone about some goll dang
long tails.
The chap said he collected these "I forgot" their name ponies.
He had the voice to go with the collection.
I figured they would make great targets.
Play ponies........ ah ha.... :D
Furbies were more fun. :p
 
I can buy 50lbs of walnut for $18/bag. Add some Aluminum Mag polish to the mix (much more aggressive than Nu-Finish) and my brass comes out super bright and shiny.

West-Can Auto Parts sells a brand of detailing products (Has the name Pro in it, sorry....can't recall the exact name) that works GREAT.

Seems like a no brainer to me.
 
I used walnut shells for a few years. Have most of a 50 lb. Bag sitting there.jammed few cases and wrecked a shellplate on my SDB.phoned Dillon and talked to their guy. He said that this had happened to several customers he had dealt with.asked if I was using walnut media by chance, then recommended I swap to corncob.nary a stuck case since.dusty walnut shells suck.
 
I bought a 40 lbs bag of corn cob media yesterday from a sand blasting shop for $25. I'll try it out and post my results.

As for the "prancing" ponies - they weren't prancing - they were marching on the Grand Galloping Gala after singing the most epic and manly song ever on a television show for young girls.

I found a cooler image though on EQD today though... maybe the marching ponies will make a return someday - but for now, it's Twilight Sniper.

...and yes... I have 2 gigs (and counting) worth of My Little Pony inspired music I listen to while I reload.
 
Just source the corncob media at a place that sells sand blasting products, I got my 50 lb bag for $40, 5 years ago and it is still going strong.

Come on......shinny always makes it better.
I tried adding some car polish to my corncob media and it didn't seem to make a difference. I like my brass shiny. I will have to try Brasso or mag polish. I usually leave them over night and they come out nice and clean but not as shinny as i would like.

are you saying you do not use any media at all, just polish and a dryer sheet?
 
Here is a cheap solution from Lee, if you have the time. Chuck in your adapter, then lock in your case. Just apply a piece of 0000 steel wool as the case rotates. It cleans and shines really well.
