I have a Norinco Upper Receiver that I bought to replace an HBAR Upper. It was always a temporary measure, but it was badly out of spec. Regardless I did some "fitting", and managed to get it to work with my Spikes Lower (which was just ducky with an STI, and Aero Upper Receiver). What can I say, the price was right, and "Rifle" Receivers are not common, so I worked with it. It's a bit sloppy, but not excessively, it's actually better than the Large Pin Colt that it replaced with the offset bushing BS. I realize that it is probably less money to buy a new Receiver, this is more just to satisfy my curiosity, but could the front take down pin hole be bored and bushed to true it?

Hahaha, that's what I did, raided it for the Forward Assist, and Dust Cover, and ordered an ATI Hybrid. I'm curious, and it's cheap enough to take the risk on it not being that great.

The hole wasn't too large, it wasn't straight, just opened it up a bit at 9 o'clock on one side and 3 o'clock on the other. I was just going to sell it cheap, but by taking the parts I save myself $45, and the hassle of some joker not understanding that it was cheap because it was altered.

Regardless I was just curious if it could be done.
