Corrective vision

Wasn't sure where to post this so optics seems the closest to the subject. I am nearsighted and can wear contacts or glasses. Which ones are better for shooting with iron or scoped sights? Any advantages with one or the other?
With glasses, do any of you get the optic center ground higher and towards your nose to better suit your head angle when sighting?

I'm was leaning towards contacts but I have to wear safety glasses anyway over them so now I'm thinking I might as well wear corrected glasses.

i wear contacts , safty glasses can be had for cheap in a low profile designe that "hugs " your face. with contacts its centered over your pupil so there wont be any image distortion due to not looking threw the lense at a 90* angle

My preference is glasses as I can get better correction for my vision with my glasses than I can with my contacts. Also contacts I find go a bit goofy if you don't keep blinking to keep them tight to your eye. I find it distracting.

Vision for near sightedness is corrected right across the lens. It is the correction for close up (bifocal, or progressive) that only corrects a narrow section down the middle of the lens. You don't use that part of the lens for shooting.
