correspondance gunsmithing course?

does anyone know any correspondance gunsmithing schools that are really good and a good value? i dont mine paying good money for a good education so long as im getting that....... a good education thanks
 
The way I look at it, it would kind of be like taking a correspondence surgery/dentistry course, the trade is mostly hands on and there is no hands on training with correspondence courses. If you don't quite understand or misinterpret something there is nobody there to correct you. I have looked at the details of the ICS package years ago and if you are new to firearms and reloading it would be interesting anyway, but it is pretty basic.
 
The ICS program is a total waste of money IMHO....been there done that many years ago. Spend that money on junkers and learn by doing....you'll be better off in the end with more practical experience...
 
I've done some searches for colleges in Canada that may offer such courses, but no luck. Anybody else know of any in the GWN that offer gunsmithing??
 
You'll have to move States side if you want to learn that trade at a proper gunsmithing college. Then apprentice for a few years up hear under a master that's willing to train you.
 
B'sides....
Would you send your favorite gun in for repair/work to some guy who learned "gunsmithing" via correspondence?
