Corroded 43 Mauser Brass

I have some 43 Mauser brass that has green corrosion on necks(inside and out) Any suggestions on how to clean these.

If it's just a light coating, either a bit of time in your tumbler or 0000 steel wool. A .45 calibre wire cleaning brush will do the inside. Heavy corrosion likely means the brass is toast.

Try soaking them in vinegar diluted 50/50 with water for five minutes, then clean up with steel wool soaked in same. Repeat as necessary, then rinse thoroughly in clean water.

Kool-Aid, or citric acid powder from the pharmacy.

Citric acid seems to be the standard industrial cleaner for processing brass.

The pink is the removal if the zinc leaving the copper behind. Brass is 10% zinc.
