corrosion on 1xfired brass?

Hi All,

I bought a few boxes of 1xfired brass from a fellow board member.

Finally had a chance to start opening the boxes and a lot of the brass has blue corrosion on the inside diameter of the neck. Never seen this one my own 1xfired brass. Does this happen to 1xfired brass?

Just clean/tumble them, it comes off.

It will show up on new brass if the envormental conditions are right , now many times it has been fired has nothing to do with it.

It's caused by moisture and the residue from the fired powder or primer. If left long enough it can weaken the brass. I got some 8mm brass from a dealer that had pitting under some of the green patches. Had to toss about 20% of the brass.
