I am contemplating a "fun blaster" such as the SKS. I saw the add for the Russian refurbished models for instance. My question is based on the availabilty of surplus corrisive ammo. If you use it what are the proper cleanup issues. I take it if you shoot it you better clean up asap. Also any opinion Norinco versus Russian refurbished rifles would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance!

Well it is hard to beat the deals on the Russians right now, but both are great guns. Using corrosive ammo you just clean your rifle when you get home, no big deal (I always clean my guns after I use them anyways!). Russians are alot harder to find normally so if you want a SKS now is the time to pick one up!

CanadaAmmo is sold out of their surplus 7.62x39, but I believe Frontier still has some. I bought a case for $199 shipped from CA, as I just got on the Russian SKS bandwagon myself.
