I have 400rds 30'06 Korean Ball ammo in 8rd Garand en blocs. I have an urge to shoot it .It is corrosive ( bought on EE years ago from a fellow (Toronto) who said it was not corrosive . My Garand is a pristine Beretta (original, not homemade) with VAR barrel. Don't really want to put this stuff through it. I have a Winchester 70, as new (CRF version) was thinking of using the stuff to practice off hand & positional shooting, then clean per corrosive ammo protocol. ( Ideally I'd rather burn it through a beater 30'06, but I don't have one.
Question: How to handle bras.... wash in hot soapy water after depriming?

Suggestions?

Hot soapy water will remove all trace of the corrosive salts from brass and rifle. Follow up with oil.
I've got no idea what stripping is required to do the job on a Garand.

Is the brass boxer primed? Probably not worth the cleaning if it isn't.

Find the lot# Head stamp and do a internet search

Some of this old ammo is good / some is Bad ........ some you can reduce load and, do a mexican match and make it very good

I have shot some, works well and that is how I know it's corrosive. Not fretting or losing sleep, just pondering...

cheers!
