Could you not just use a store purchased cleaning solution for your gun and clean it after use ? Then not have to worrie if it is corrosive ?

i would say corrosive as i have never seen any not specifically labelled non corrosive

I have to upload the pics but I tried the BN test on a bunch of Chinese surplus using spiral framing nails with the heads cleaned up.
After 6 hrs the nail was covered in a white residue. Assuming corrosive salts and no I'm not about to lick it to find out.
My control was .303 brit 1942 and Wolf 7.63x54r, both of which left the nail just black. Results may vary.

Or you could just buy MFS ammo new manufacture non corrosive.
