Corrosive question

I believe it's Czech ammo, but I'm not sure. It's the stuff that came in a green wooden crate of 1200 rounds. On stripper clips, wrapped in paper, sealed in plastic, in 300 round bricks. It was purchased about 8 years ago

Does anyone remember this, and is it corrosive? I don't want to open it to test it, so trying to figure it out this way.

Yes, corrosive.

Water washes the salt away.

The Czech stuff is corrosive, but some ammo out of crates is not corrosive. Currently shooting some Santa Barbara 308 out of wooden crate, not corrosive, my second ( and last crate). Hirtenberger 308 recently on market not corrosive either.there is some nasty Korean 30'06 in Garand clips is very corrosive, mine at least did not come in crate.As they say caveat emptor.

Its corrosive, pretty well all surplus ammo is.

I had some and yes it's corrosive. I also found it to have a funny smell when I shot it .
