anyone know much about corwin arms.

what gun would you choose, the falcon semi auto or the warrior semi auto?

would you take the asena over the warrior semi auto?

if so why?

the falcon semi has a tech system called kinetic while the warrior has a gas system. is kinetic that much better?

what do you think of the asena?

appreciate any advice!!!

thanks

The warrior/falcon/asena guns are made in turkey and are usually almost identical to other brands also made in turkey (ex, hatsan, weatherby, etc), but with a few cosmetic changes requested by Martin at corwin.

What are your plans to use the gun? If you're thinking of duck hunting, the falcon or warrior will likely be a better fit, and then it comes down to if you want a gas semi (warrior) or kinetic(falcon).
Personally i have only ever used gas semi's, so i can't comment on how they work vs a gas semi, but there's lots of articles out there comparing them.

I like the asena, but it's not going to make the best hunting shotgun. I think i would be great as a slug gun, but the ghost ring sights don't (for me anyway) work as well as a bead for wing shooting.

The asena is a bit heavier than i was expecting based on the warrior shotguns i have held, but it's good heavy, feels really well built, and mine cycled low power target rounds right out of the box, but for the type of hunting i typically do with a 20ga i do more walking through brush than actual shooting, so a nice light break action if where i go to. I found the pistol grip stocks that they sell for these make it much more comfortable to shoot and carry, and they felt much better quality than the tapco stuff i have held on other guns.

All in all i've had great service from Martin at corwin, any issues i have had were fixed immediately and i don't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Don't own any of the semi-auto/pump shotguns he's carrying right now, but I've bough a BUNCH of stuff off Corwin-Arms over the past few years. He's my go-to guy for Red Rifles, and have 4 of the single shot shotguns he's brought on over the past while (12 gauge gen 1 warrior, 12 gauge gen 2 warrior, .410 gauge gen 2 warrior, Sinsinati 12 gauge single shot), a Ricol O/U shortie in 12 gauge...

I could go on... It's a longer list than I want to admit to somewhere my wife my read.

The biggest thing about buying from Martin at Corwin-Arms - he's a stand up guy. No questions asked he'll "make it right" if something goes wrong with a gun you bought off him. Heck, when I wrecked the stock on my Gen 1 warrior, through an act of my own stupidity (and I even told him as much), he just sent me a replacement stock, free of charge - not even shipping.

He also puts in the miles personally to go check out factories when he's bringing something new in, hand selects his surps from the arsenals before importing them...

And if you meet him once at a gun show and introduce yourself and shake his hand... He'll remember you forever. He'll remember what kind of guns your into and all that.

The only problem with buying from there, is it shows just how bad (in comparison) the customer service really is at a number of the other vendors.

No feedback on the shotguns from me but I can say that Martin is #1 in my books of dealers I'd happily buy from, he's stand up. Buy with confidence, if only his polish mosin snipers and svt bayonets would show up haha.

Shhh... No talking about the Polish Mosins... When the paperwork clears from the Polish government, I call dibs first.

i actually picked up the torun. less moving parts, more reliable and the gun looks sweet. 12 gauge side by side.

polish mosins? whats that? have to google that.

thanks dand and grelmar for informative responses. much appreciated.

took a look at the mosin. not sure if i like the look. whatever blows your hair back. Corwin has some nice looking guns. Most of his guns have the nice looking walnut at a decent price. if your going to shoot, you have to look good doing it!!!

i think i'll go benelli when it comes to buying a semi auto. what do you guys think is the most reliable semi auto on the market?

ya, i have been looking at that noobs. for 150 bucks, it might have to be a christmas gift.

also looking at the 1200 fps pellet guns. .22 caliber. no noise, good accuracy, no recoil. what are the best quality pellet guns? i heard stoeger has one thats at a decent price but the accuracy isn't the greatest. any thoughts on this ?

liking the 30-30 henry lever. what to do? lol

I own the warrior 12 pump, love this gun, i have put over 2500 rnds down range with it. Only thing that has been any issue was the barrel started to unscrew after about 2k rnds, just tightened it back with some lock tite and not had any issues after that. I purchased a tatical breaching choke and a extended full choke both of which are mossburg 500 threaded.i recently purchased one of the pistol grip stocks martin sells. Made it much nicer to fire 3" slugs and buck. Had my local gunsmith tap a rail on it and put a small red dot. His oppinion was the gun was really nice, extremely light, only issue was the longevityu. Once i told him how much ammo i had shot his oppinion went up 100%.

Bottom line these guns are great and will last from my direct experence

dand, i want to shoot trap and skeet a bit. also want to get my hunting licence perhaps this winter so i can get some small game up at the cottage. hence the reason why i picked up the torun. trying to figure out which .22 1200fps pellet gun i'm going to pick up for small game. any thoughts?

abbadon, yes, i love the warrior. the look is amazing. especially the chrome which is so hard to get. i may pick up a warrior if Martin stocks up again. want to join a gun club so……. the money may go there but we'll see.

No, not the Mosins he has in stock right now. Those are repros. He's waiting for export (point of origin) to clear on some Mosin Snipers that went into service with the Polish Police after the war. All original - close to new condition.

Unicorn Mosins.

just picked up the benjamin .22 caliber air gun, with scope for 250 bucks. practically no recoil, quiet, 950 fps, piston/no spring, light, easy to ####. love it. nice to have a scope. now i feel like a hunter.

so i got that for small game hunting at the cottage and the torun 12 gauge for trap and skeet. not bad!!!
