Hi all, just wondering if anyone has used any of the Italian made 1911 magazines. The two that came with my Norinco are crap and are constantly misfeeding, and if these have a good reputation and I can get them $10 cheaper than Dlask mags I will.
Thanks in advance!

They don't look like the Italian ACT mags which are what Dlask are....different follower design.
Might be MecGar, why not fire him off an email to confirm?

Hey , more mags are all ways better , so get some , But before you chuck the norc ones , try replacing the springs and follower with something like the Chip McCormick Conversion Kit , it'll turn them in to 8 rounders in a 7rd body .

I've never even heard of those until now haha. Do you know of anywhere in Canada to order from? I did a quick Google search but didn't see anywhere this side of the border, I like to keep my money in Canada if possible.

I must be a special kind of stupid, it never even crossed my mind to email him. Sent one off, I'll update when I get a reply!

I understand , you might be able to find some Wilson Combat replacement springs and follower up here , but I don't think they'll make it a 8 rounder .
I got mine from Brownell's and a few mags as well , but that was when our dollar was stronger .

Gotcha. I'd be a little more willing to order from the states if the dollar wasn't so weak.

Also, Martin got back to be and said that his mags "come from the same manufacturer as mecgar buys them." I can only find good things about the mec gar mags so I may go ahead and order a couple on pay day.

I bought 4 from Martin at Corwin. They're all perfect in my DA Commander NP27. I also have 4 factory Norc mags that came with my two NP27's and I've never had a problem with any of them.

I picked one up from Martin at the fall AACCA show. Just grabbed one to see how it works.

Metal body, with a polymer follower and baseplate. The follower is an interesting "no-tilt" design and looks like it will do a good job of preventing nosedives, which in my experience is what causes most of the jamming problems in cheap 1911 mags.

I can take a few pics if anyone is interested. I'll also take it to the range with me when I get a chance and try and run 50-100 rounds through it to see how it works.
