Cost of a barrel cut down

Anyone have an idea of what it would cost to get a 30" barrel cut down CLEANLY to 18.5" and the bead reInstalled ? not looking for a hack saw and epoxy thing but a nice clean looks like factory cut down.
 
I see that you are in Ottawa. Take it to Jason at Gunco, and get an exact quote. The job will be professionally done.
 
yeah i was thinking of that as he's who i bought the shotgun off of and did a wonderfull job on the stock cut down for my wife its her toy but the barrel is way to long for her 5' frame LOL jason had to take about 4.5 inches off the oriinal stock to get it to fit her comfortably now when i shoot it my cheek rests on the reciver lol yeah i have only made the mistake of shooting it once lol never again that hurt

simple to drill a hole & screw in a bead :)
 
I'm in the exact same boat with my 870 but i'm in petawawa, Can a 28"vented rib be cut down to a 18.5" barrel and still keep the rib and if i have a muzzel brake threaded on to the end and welded permanent like the dlask unit, can i have the barrel cut down further then the min but still keeping the 18.5 total for the barrel-muzzle break combo?
 
The Powers That Be do not accept a welded on brake/flash hider, etc. as part of the barrel for barrel length purposes. Look at the posts that support the rib. If you are going to shorten it, there will need to be a post toward the end of the rib.
