in the past year I have noticed that many people have been charging way out prices for once fired brass. when you look at the price they want it is cheaper to buy new brass. I will have some brass to sell on here later on and my prices will be a lot cheaper that some of the GOLD cases they are selling on here. happy reloading.

Which ones in particular?

I usually buy from one of the ranges when I need stuff I can't find much of on the ground, and the stuff I find that I don't need I price very reasonably at shows, since its more or less free to me, beyond picking, sorting, and tumbling time.

That being said I couldn't sell .223 for 5-6 cents a case, and it's usually at least 8 and tax. Regular rifle brass I put out at no more than 10-15 cents a case, depending on what undercuts the regular dealers by a good margin, and it goes :)

A good ball-park is half of new price, but what about if there is no new stuff available? Then its a matter of what the market will stand, how bad someone wants to shoot his rifle and a look at what factory ammo costs.

If nobody buys it, its priced to high. If someone does, it was likely worth it to him.

when I sell brass on here I sell for 10 to 15cents each which is a fair price, but when the price for common brass goes to 20 and 30 cents each that is too high to purchase. several years ago I could see that the price for 8x67 brass going up so I got what I could get and I now have 3000 rds of loaded ammo ready to go, you would be surprised how much an mg34 can eat up on the range.

A couple of times on the EE I've seen used 44-40 brass being offered for twice the price of new starline brass. Sometimes they just don't know what it's worth, sometimes it's predatory pricing.
Gotta pay attention

I agree some of it is priced HIGH at the moment I'm looking for 270 win brass 1X or new. Keep an eye on your local shops for new brass the prices haven't gone up much.
On the EE brass is priced high and if it doesn't sell the price starts to drop, so make them an offer leave it with them for 24 hrs and move on.
