Wondering how much to ask for once fired brass? I've got some surplus to my needs and thinking of selling it. Not sure if this is the right place to post or if this should be in the EE. 308 WIN Match brass and 223 REM mix of Match and other quality brass. What seems to be the asking price? Price by piece or by quantity? Cleaned or not? Deprimed or not? Just looking for some general info. Not looking to hose anyone or get hosed myself. Thanks in advance for the replies.

My opinion:

As is............not tumbled or resized = 25% of new brass price.
processed...........Tumbled, sized, primer pockets swaged (if required) = 40% of new brass price

Dirty, once fired brass usually goes for around 1/2 of what it sells for new.
Some guys clean it but most people seem unwilling to pay much more even if it's cleaned. Anyone who buys it will want to resize it anyway so depriming isn't usually a selling point.

Prices right now are all messed up but no one will pay half of what a gouger is charging so you'd have to go with half of the cheapest. Budget Shooter Supply has once fired brass on for $250/1000 right now which sounds about right. $25/50 for new US brand brass, half of that is $25/100.

I used to give mine away to guys that reloaded, now I pick it up at the range if the guys don't want it. I just picked up about 600 once fired 9mm this weekend.

If you have any Nosler, Norma etc, separate it and sell it. Give the other stuff away.
I know a guy who'll buy the good stuff ;).
