well it loks like i will most likely be getting the barrel of the wifes cut down instead of looking for a replacment what does it normaly run $$wise for getting chokes installed? or at least getting the muzzle threaded for chokes? just a ball park figure would be a good start that way i know what i am getting into here lol obviuosly its not something that i want to attempt myself

Most gunsmithswill charge about $100.00 for the work plus the price of the tube. Steel shot tubes are generally about $10.00 more than lead tubes. If the gun does not have a vent rib then it is usually a good idea to put a small elevated pad soldered onto the barrel to hold the front bead. Otherwise there may not be enough barrel thickness to retain the new bead during firing. This is worth another 20-25 dollars.
