If you came into my shop and I was expecting you I could do it in my lathe for $40... 26 inch to 24 inch - leaving your scope mounted while doing it ... about a 10 minute job...

$40 is a good price these days, just paid $60 to have a 26" heavy target barrel taken down to 20" with a recessed target crown.
