Cost to re-barrel?

I have a Rem 700 BDL .270 and a 700 in 30-06, I want to re-barrel one to 25-06. The .270 barrel is blued and the 30-06 barrel is stainless. I want to replace it with a 26 inch sporter weight barrel.
What should I expect to pay?

$400 plus for good quality barrel min......$150 minimum gunsmithing that prolly would not include bluing.

Quality makes a difference

Custom rebarreling will very a whole bunch. If you want the gunsmith to order a barrel and then chamber, and bed the action. This will be close to 1000.
You can also buy a pre chambered barrel have a gunsmith fit for a lot less.
It depends on what you want.

Plan on $650 minimum for a good barrel and gunsmithing (threading, chambering, cut & crown etc. contouring? sights?) also if its CroMo barrel, will need to be blued or spray finished.

The .30-06 barrel OK? You could sell it to off-set the price of the new barrel.
Epp's wants $150 plus the cost of the barrel for threaded, contoured, short chambered barrel. $225 for a blank plus the cost of the barrel.
