I love this photo. Even with a disability the man loves shooting enough to go out and shoot with the best. Much respect to him. :D

I hate all these new fangled shooting techniques you can't easily translate to other firearms. :(

However, finding new ways to shoot my Tavor is a problem I can live with. :D

You're still liking that 45 degree vert grip Rob? I just couldn't get comfortable with it.

I tried the straight arm position but being 190cm tall I hold on to air past the flash hider.

get a longer rail:D its what I had to do;)

I still like the 45 offset vert grip, but it needs to be a quick folding one, push button preferred. it allows the gun to sit much more naturally in your hands than with a regular vert grip. However, using the hand forward technique, allows the same thing, the rifle rotates into your shoulder pocket and you're not fighting with it.

Rivet

We are trying thru One Shot to directly export rifles for civilian sale -- what may need to happen, is that the buyers fill out the End User and place a deposit and wait for DoS to approve (getting quicker now).

Questar is running his own imports - and I beleive he is bringing some in.

I have 2 of the SR-25 LW's still available (this is the 2009 commercial model that Knights just released)... if you are interested in pricing or details then contact me by email: Sales@Questar.ca

As far as other models or "future" products lets wait until Knights is physically shipping them to dealers and we know if State Department will approve more permits :)

The SR15E3 uses proprietary bolt, firing pin, cam pin and extractor, as well as barrel extension. Based on what Trey posted in other forums, they don't HP and shot peen..

The Bolt is made of milspec steel - we do not Proof Test , but we do Magnaflux

We have SR-15 bolts that have gone over 80k without failure --- Travis Haley's is near 100k

Mr. Knight told said that he does not see the need to make a tougher bolt, when our bolt out lasts the barrel.

Given we use Colt Canada cold hammer fordged barrels - and chrome them the same place Colt does, we do not think that we can get a better barrel right now.
We are testing some different barrel coatings/liners that if sucessfull we can get a 60k or more barrel -- then we may look at ways to strengthen the bolt.

Our SR16E3 11.5 with NT-4 suppressor will easily do 20k on ONE bolt.

and by the way for those of you coming to SHOT -- many surprises are in the works ;)

KevinB, regarding the wheelchair-bound individual, were you guys able to develop techniques which allowed the individual to participate in drils that require movement ?

The reason I ask is that, being a non-biped myself I have been experimenting with various techniques by which I could achieve movement with a firearm while in my chair, but I haven't had much success. Seems that anything I try ends up in unreasonable compromises between muzzle control, unhindered chair operation (mobility), chair balance (which can become a safety issue), and ease of access of the firearm.

RobSmith -- I was not there -- I just got the pictures from Chris for maketing purposes. The wheelchair shooter, Paul, is a former Marine who was wounded in Iraq -- he posts on M4Carbine and I beleive he would be very receptive to questions on how he operates the gun the way he does, and would love to be of help..
