Cougar attacks child in Vancouver Island park

Yeah... that is wild. But I don't think a firearm would have helped much. Too easy to hit the child in that circumstance. A handy belt knife would have been the ticket...maybe!

I predict, within a few weeks, a great many bear hunting stories coming from Ontario.
 
on the front page of this mornings paper there was a pic/ write up of a grizz swimming over to a lodge in knight inlet and ot chased off with a splitting maul ....couger att was just north of here im sure he has only days left
