Got my Cougar today. Cleaned it, put it together and nothing seemed to fit right.
Got it down to this, there are 3 rings. I now think I have them in the right order.
Two piece ring towards the breach end of the mag tube, place the barrel on, then the large rubber ring and replace the stock and the cap. Is this right?
pics or comments would be great. Wish I had an instruction manual.
thanks

I think your best bet is to get another Cougar, and examine it for fitness......be very careful though, most Cougars don't like to be in the same room as another....as soon as you get the 1st Cougar operational again, she might turn on you.

BTW.....most Cougars have Fit and Finish problems.......that is why they are Cougars...they can be temperamental beasts as well!

The thing about cougars are that they are usually well used, so fitting shouldn't be a problem. I have also seen cougars in packs before, however, having enough ammo to satisfy more than one could pose a problem depending on how full your ammo bag was when you started your excursion.

The age of the gun is also a factor. I know that as mine ages, i have to be more careful with ammo, 'cause it takes a lot longer to reload. Also, the sight picture isn't what it used to be.I'd be really leery of rings on a Cougar. They're not very reliable in the first place, and I don't think a ring will keep them from prowling..

I had the same problem , there's a thread on it in Canada ammos forum . Sone had assembly instructions on a sticker in the box . Others had nothing mp5k posted pics of the proper assembly
