Does anyone know where/how to get a 12.5 inch barrel for the dominion arms couger (which as I understand is remington 1100 clone)? I'm thinking of getting one but would rather the barrel didn't extend past the tube in case in becomes my truck gun.

Likely not enough port dwell time to operate the action. Also, it can't be your truck gun with a barrel any shorter than stock, it would be restricted.

Makes sense that the action wouldn't be reliable. As for the barrel, I was thinking if remington made shorty barrels for the 1100 it should still count as a non-res, cause they made the barrel factory no? but I guess it's irrelevent if the gun won't cycle

Nope. restricted.

The restricted rule for semi-autos with barrels less than 18.5" comes into play, so it depends how short you're looking for. Remington does make a 18.5" 11-87 barrel, but I'm not sure if it will fit a 1100 or 1100 clone. And yes it cycles even target shells (1 & 1/8 oz, 2.75 DRAM) flawlessly.

I wanted to use a 12.5 inch barrel that wouldn't extend past the tube, irrelevant though if it can't be non-res. I guess I'll just have to start saveing up for the RFB .308 bullpup :)
