I bought a few thousand plated bullets. I hear they can't be pushed too fast. What kind of velocity can I expect from the following?

10mm Auto
4.6" bbl ( or 5" to keep it simple)
165grn plated bullet (.55" length)
CCI 350
10 grns Blue Dot
1.250"

I know I should really just put out the money for the program. Maybe one day :p.

Any input is appreciated. I have been using FMJs up until now...

A suggestion is to also include the length of the bullet so that internal volume can be calibrated. Pressure and velocity is very sensitive to internal volume in straight wall cases.

In Quickload, if there isn't a bullet that is exact/close to what you are using, the the OAL can be adjusted so the base of the bullet is at the same location.

(Can't help you out right now, my computer with QuickLoad pooped out, and I haven't reloaded it ;) on another)

Just do a Google search, it's all I did. Apparently the plating can strip off or otherwise become damaged producing horrible accuracy. Different calibres have different limits obviously. It also varies with the manfacturer. My bullets are made by "Cam Pro" who I have never heard of until now.

hot damn these are the bullets im just about to buy, I'll look into it, all I know about plated is the info given @ AIM projectiles

I just answered his question. I read it from several sources. Thanks for stopping by and being a weiner though:). Where could I have found the answer to my question on Google?

Not for me to wonder where you'd find the answer on Google, just pointing out you lack in courtesy. That's a pretty harsh insult to use, internet tough guy. I'll assume you have a fixation on wieners....and that's okay.
