Could they have a longer name....

Of course they have longer names, for example: Ottovordemgentschenfelde.

And they definitely have longer words: Telekommunikationsüberwachungsverordnung.

And what is a "Kornbusch" anyway..

Korn= Wheat, Bush=just what it sounds like, a shrub. Betting it's one of those typical Germanic, Jewish family names. :) At one time Jews only went by one name, which didn't please the authorities, so they assigned them. If you could pay, got an acceptable one, otherwise luck of the draw. Once knew a girl named Dudelsack, means Bag Pipes. :)

Grizz

Hard to find maker.

Not really that long of a name though. Typical German factory/maker name just not all were fully roll marked like that. Here are a couple others that were:

WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER A.-G. OBERNDORF A/N

DEUTSCHEWAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN, BERLIN

@Hitzy: Do you have the rest of the rifle? If so, we all want to see :)

Yes, but prepare to be disappointed lol.

I was looking for a complete M52 Dane target rifle to finish off that series, and this was the winner. Original Garand type sights, everything else seems to be correct for an M52, bit of rust but I can live with it, bore is great.

Still a cool rifle though. I seriously considered buying one they had there built on a svw45 receiver, supposedly with the original matching bolt, but I decided against it.

Should be a great shooter with some neat history.
