Except that the Tavor, T97, RA XCR, KelTec RFB, and others have done exactly that.

Meanwhile, we have others asking if we can have Norinco build a brand new Garand or VZ58/CZ858 from the ground up.

Tavor is state made so they have the time and money to play games with gov agencies for approval, and they changed nearly nothing to gain RCMP approval. RA and Keltec are small companies who need all the business they can get.

What other designs are out there that haven't been approved or denied?
