Could this possibly be……..

Well all and all great news and information. Thanks for the input everyone. Your expertise is much appreciated. So would it be safe to say it’s a mostly original example that received an upgraded back sight and was then prepped for long-term storage?

How does it shoot ? How much did you pay?

I haven’t had it long enough to get it to the range. In honesty when I have time to make it up and I’m in the mood to shoot a Mosin I default to ether my M39 or M52. I would expect it to be a good shooter as the bore is in exceptional shape.
Price wise it’s a bit murky as it was one of those couple of guns for one trade deals. Basically I assumed it was a nicely done refurb and worth a fair bit more than a run of the mill example.
Drop me a pm when you want to unload it.

Hmmmm…… I’m not particularly attached to the rifle. I’d be interested in making a deal. I just don’t know what to ask for it so I guess the next big question is: What’s it worth?

Unfortunately, not much. With the glut of mosin at the moment, its hard to get more than $200 91/30 with kit. I paid $300 for an original mosin, never had more done to it other than a coat of shellac, with the original bayo. Don't sell it till you shoot it!

Well $200.00 is about what I figure I'm actually into it for so still more good news and that's still almost double what a basic re-furb. could be had for. It nicely fill the Russian hole in my rifles of WWII collection. Add to that it's sitting here as trade fodder should a nice Enfield come my way.
