has anyone dealt with or used this manufacturer "counter sniper" before. i've been doing a great deal of looking around for a all around good med-long range sniping scope for a .308 with a actual mil scale scope and bullet drop compensator. and this one seems to have it all . most of their scopes range from $500 - $5000, but i havent found much in the way of reviews or peer reviews of this company, before i go dropping $500 + on a scope im just curious of the reputability of this company. any ideas?

the general rule is that if you can buy directly online from them, and they have spelling mistakes, avoid them.

They are a well known laughing joke. It's a $75 chinese scope with a fancy story attached to it.

Buy a Viper PST (couple hundred more) and don't look back. For that matter the new Cabelas.ca magazine arrived yesterday and they have their Bushnell Elite Tactical 6500`s on sale for $200 off the reg price.

Do yourself a favor and don`t go near a counter sniper.

Well, this forum is a good place to ask for opinions, there are a lot of very knowledgeable people on this site (me not being one of them), that are more then willing to share the
benefits of their knowledge and experience. If you are looking for a milli radian (mrad) scope, with a good mrad reticle, then have a look at the Vortex Viper PST scopes - god
knows, everyone else is.

Just for future reference, a thread about counter-sniper
h t t p://www.snipershide.com/forum/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=1301952

Snipers hide always has pretty goodreview/feedback about optics. I always try to check them out for reviews if I am lookig for a "tactical" scope.
take the time to read through the tread posted above, counter snipers are not very well received due to price, lies and quality.
just my 0.02

I just looked at their website. I was particularly impressed by their description of their "optical gunsights": they are all "weapon mountable". That must be sooo handy in an optical gunsight.

Also.....24 step vacuum Bertrillium-Zantitium™ multicoating

Bertrillium-Zantitium...
this must be done in their top-secret moon-base production facility, known only by a select few, I'm starting to wonder just what my high school science teacher was thinking when she never taught us about these elements.

The scopes are rated to 485 degrees F... lucky the vitron seals release hydrogen fluoride when exposed to high tempetures or fires.

I've not heard good things about warranty etc.

Vortex is good glass, as are falcon, such as the menece 4-14x44 available in both milrad and moa and they are in your 500 dollar price range.

that just means it's NOT made out of paper, since paper is only rated to 451F.

I bought one & it's killed two batteries in two days and I am not leaving the reticle on! Not sure what to think at this point... I like the reticle, seems solidly built, but... There seems to be a problem with the battery?

Cheers
Jay

That video is epic *LOL*

Never heard of Counter Sniper Scopes. There are so many good scopes with good reviews and feedback - be cautious about delving into unknown waters (especially when your pocketbook takes a mighty hit)
