Here's a couple paint jobs I just finished.

Actually the blue/gray stock is off my custom Titanium 280AI, I had already painted this stock before hunting season. I just sprayed webbing on it today. Its a Bansner Hi-tech specialties sheep hunter. I blended armacoat colors matte black and battleship grey to get the color.

The Tan stock is for my 375 H&H its a Bansner Hi-Tech specialties as well but not the sheep hunter. This color is called Desert Brown also an armacoat color. I also used a different technique for spraying the color for a more dull and textured finish.

Now for the exciting thing about these paint jobs, THE WEBBING ISN'T KRYLON.
Earlier this year I talked to the owner of armacoat and bounced an idea off him about how to produce a webbing paint. He worked on it immediatly, and got back to me very quickly that it works. When I put in a new order I got him to send me some and today I finally got off my butt to try it. A little tricky getting the spray pattern right but IT WORKS:dancingbanana:
Probably need to try a different spray gun with a larger nozzle.

Once they have had a chance to dry a bit I'll take some photo's of them all assembaled

Those look awesome. How do you like the Bansner Stocks? I have an unfinished one on a M70 Featherweight, I was just going to "bedliner" it but after seeing yours I might have to try Arma-Coat on it.
Do you have Arma-Coat on any of the metal work? I sent off a rifle to have the metal finished by Arma-Coat last week and really hope it lives up to my expectations.

Bedliner on a Basner stock, please stop, you going to make my ears bleed...
I like basners, I think they are great value, fitting the bdl bottom metal can be a pain but the end result is fantastic

I have armacoated BDL bottom metal then baked it in my toaster oven, worked very well, just make sure you clean your parts with a lint free cloth:rolleyes:

I'm interested to see your rifle when it gets back from Barret Arms, should look great

Really nice work, Brambles.

I have a Bansner stock on my 300WSM. I like it quite a bit. I was thinking about painting it over the winter, if I can find some webbing paint.:p

Did you run out of Krylon:p

Your not going to paint that stock with krylon are you?? What did Bill use to paint it when he built it in the first place? Or did you paint it?

I can't seemt o find any webbing paint of any type. Not sure what Bill used to paint it, but it has nice scratches and gouges in it now..Which reminds me that it's been hunting alot, and makes me feel good.:)

I might do some Krylon camo job on it, not sure.:p

Theres a craft store online (out of BC I believe) that sells the Krylon webbing paint, Gatehouse, you should be able to order it there. Or try craft shops near you. some Canadian Tires have had it in the past as well. - dan

Any idea of the name of the store? All the craft shops, paint shops and CT's I've hit up recently have none. It used to be easy to find...

I've tried getting the Krylon webbing paint from CTire, Micheal's, Wal-Mart, etc. Finally I contacted Krylon and they informed me that the webbing paint is not sold in Canada. It can be ordered from Ace Hardware (1-800-441-4223) is what the lady told me. But, I like Brambles' Armacoat paint jobs, since I have an airbrush, I think I'll try that avenue. Apparently the Shooting Edges sells Armacoat paints, is this true?

Edit: I also tried their website www.acehotline.com - just plug in "webbing" in the search engine field.

wow, great job on those - looks like a professional factory paint job.

Thanks manbearpig, I take pride in my firearms, they arn't just tools to me. For me, its worth the time and extra cost to make it look and work right.:)
And oddly enough I really like doing it, great feeling when you finish a stock and it turns out better than you hoped.

I'm getting temped to by one of those stevens 200's in .223 and do a snow camo paint job on it, also I have lots of colors I want to try and some different products too but I'm running out of my own rifles to paint:bangHead:

Stock painting

Anybody know who can do a couple of stocks just like these for me? Canadian Stock Painting is no longer in Business. Don't trust myself to do as good a job as shown here. Thanks-Karl

I hope soon, I am waiting to get a bunch of new pictures for our ceramic finishes on pipes and exhaust and then integrate it all into one webpage. Look forward to your phone call Brambles.
