Couple Beretta 391 questions

newbie here

1) If I were to buy a 12 guage Beretta 391 semi-auto shotgun that can take a 3" or 3.5" shotgun shell, can I use 2.75" shells with it?
2) Initially at least, I'd only be able to use slugs (indoor range) not shot. Is that doable with the Beretta 391? (out of the box without modifications)
3) Are slugs easily available for it (AlSimons, BassPro, etc)? Should they be rifled or sabot?
4) Is there such a thing as a factory load light load 2.75" (for women)? (I'm not interested in 20 guage at this time)

1) Yes
2) Yes
3) Rifled. Use sabot in rifled barrels.
4) Yes. Look for 1 ounce loads at 1,200 fps or less.
