I'm planning a solo 3day,2 night hunting trip this Nov.The land I plan to hunt on is community pasture,so no problems on the "land owner permission front",but a few questions have arised during my planning process.I have tried using the search function, but they still remain unawnsered.
1.Can I legally set up a camp(read tent),or is there rules in place prevent that?(I already know I can't have open fires)
2.In regards to firearms, when I bed down for the night,do I have put on trigger locks and lock my firearm in my truck, even if its in the tent with me?
3.On over night trips in the bush,How do you guys maintain scent control?Do you take off and hang your bush clothes up to avoid contamination?
4.WRT personal hygine/scent control, how is it maintained without access to showers?Does a basin bath cut it?
I'm already checked out for fieldcraft/bushcraft skills,Navigation skills and personal survival skills.I'm in the process of surmassing all the gear I'm going to need(thank you CGN for helping me with ideas on how to spend my paychecks),and any other tips of the trade you guys have would be appriciated.
Thanks.

I can't answer question #1 but the answer to question #2 is that as long as the gun is with you,you don't need it locked up in any manner. As to the other two questions,I don't get too carried away with scent control.Keep your hunting clothes away from such things as gun oil or gasoline and hunt with the wind in your face.

Stubblejumper gave you good advise on the last three, the answer to #1 is you can camp for three weeks on Crown land in Alberta without a permit, I/m not so sure about community pasture though, best to talk to the manager of the land, we hunted some last year and there is an onsite manager there.

Thanks for the replies.
Although the scent control questions were important to know, the awnsers I recieved as far as questions 1 and 2 are worth a million!
thanks again.
