Ran through ~450 rounds of .44 mag on my Dillon 650 today. First time I've done the switch to large primers, so it took me a while to get that sorted. Then I finally decided to install the powder checker, so that took a while to get in and adjusted, but finally got it running the way I wanted it. Two questions tho:

1) Anyone else find the yellow collar (casefeed arm bushing I believe?) that sits under the case feed just doesn't work right? With the collar in place it would not drop the next case down into the 1st station more than 1/2 the time. Eventually took the little yellow ring out and it was fine. Not sure if there's any issue with running without it, but it seemed to work for me?

2) Any issue with sizing cases twice before loading? I'm typically de-priming / FL sizing before cleaning using ultrasonic. I ran about 1/2 of the cases through with the sizing die in place before deciding to take it out. Any issue sizing twice? wear on cartridge - admittedly there was not a lot of force required as they were already sized, just wondering if there could be a down side to doing this every time?

1. Make sure the aluminum body bushing underneath the yellow case feed arm bushing is tight; if it becomes loose you may have issues with the cases not dropping properly.

2. No. Are you using a case lube?

Use some Lyman spray lube in the case feeder when I'm sizing.

Bushing is tight, just seems to be getting hung up on the yellow case feed arm bushing. Guess I'll give Dillon a call, but in the meantime, leave it out - seemed to run just fine without it.
