I've been so busy this year that it is hard to get out in the woods. The fall turkey season opened up this past Tuesday so I took a couple hours off a couple mornings for a quick hunt.

The first pic is a buddy of mine that came along and we got setup on a group of gobblers and I called them down the field and into range but they were not in the open for him so I passed as I wanted to see him shoot first. They walked off so we went to reset up and this bird was roosted not far off waiting for the group and as we moved he flew out of the tree and landed 15 yards out in front of us. I believe he thought we were hens and that was why the mistake, but his last. A double bearded gobbler

The next day I went for a walk again in the woods with another friend and we setup along a field edge and I called and 20 minutes here come a family flock (Hens and Poults) and right into range and we took a double. I will only post a pic of myself as we had a problem over posting a picture of us last winter and I said I would never post one with him again, so its just me in this one.

Bring on the deer season now ...

Good job... Turkeys are a spring deal for me... The fall is already too busy with waterfowl, upand, deer, moose, bear, coyotes, fishing etc...
