I know I asked once before and was directed to IPSCDraw but found I couldn't print anything but a black page...is there another program out there that is set up for doing course designs??? I am getting tired of doing it by hand. :bangHead:

In ontario do not use Stagecad if you want your matches to be sanctioned as the people who do the sanctioning do not have the program and thus cannot review the stages.

I use the Powerpoint templates to generate my drawings and then import them into word where I add all of the verbage.

I've used StageCad to draw stage diagrams for sanctioning in Ontario. Instead of just sending the StageCad files, I exported the 3D drawings and 2D plans to rich text format (RTF) files and sent those to Don. RTF's are easily displayed by Microsoft Word as well as several other word processing applications. He commented on how easy it was to grant sanctioning because of the far greater detail afforded by 3D drawings.

A word of caution though: StageCad can be a bit buggy and it does take some time to learn to use. I found it a worthwhile effort and if I am ever folly enough to do another IPCS match I'll use it again.

Here are some pictures of the StageCad output:

I've used Stage Cad for as long as its been around. If you want to design a stage and make certain everything fits (in the range) and to check for shoot throughs it can't be beat. :dancingbanana:

As for Don, I just copy the drawings to a word template I have, save it, then send it to him.

If you want to send him the stage Cad file you need to send some of the internal files to support your drawing (range.dat etc) it can get a little messy if you don't know what your doing.:onCrack: Sending them in a word or .rtf is a lot easier.

I have been using Word, the drawing functions, for designing IPSC stages. It is basic but it gets the job done.
