WEATHER FINALLY CLEARED UP SUNDAY AFTERNOON.I WAS AT MY DAUGHTERS HOUSE,ABOUT 15 MINUTES FROM THE CLUB HOUSE.GOT THERE AROUND NOON. TOOK A FRIEND AND MY SON IN LAW. BOTH WANT TO GET INTO BLACK POWDER. STEVE WAS A GRACIOUS HOST AND WHILE PRISES WERE HANDED OUT (we did not compete) we were given the use of the range. THAT and the beautifill location have inspired both young men to apply for membership. upon arrival, MOONCOON wasbusy doing dishes. Good man at any SHOOT. Sorry to hear BOB NESBITT of the WEST COAST RANGERS WAS ILL. Hope you feel better soon, NESSY. We really enjoyed ourselves,but were late as usual. CHEERS POPS

Mooncoon washing dishes ??? No Pics ? He also makes a mean apple crumble You're right Pops he's a great guy to have at a shoot, he's bailed me out with repairs more than a few times.
Great to hear the club is getting new members, ANY time you want to go shooting I'm up for it.

I only washed the apple crisp bowl (didn't want to take it home dirty :>) )
I thoroughly enjoyed the shoot; Saturday weather was not too bad and we shot from under cover. There was a slight firmnament descending upon the earth Saturday night through Sunday morning but it cleared up and the afternoon was beautiful. A really excellent pot luck supper on Saturday and went to bed stuffed full.
I got lucky on Saturday morning; broke a mainspring half way through the silhouette match and after finding an alternate spotter for my partner, back to camp and grabbed a spare rifle and managed to place second on the tie breaker. Luckily I was shooting a flinter and had a cigarette lighter in my pocket; the gun was loaded when the spring broke and I had to fire it with the lighter :>)
I extend my thanks for the shoot and all the work to put it on to Steve and Rolly and the others of the Courtney Fish and Game Club.

It was an excellent shoot and unfortunate that there not more people to attend it. Lots of prizes and an excellent supper. I only took a few photos because I was busy shooting :>) They have an absolutely beautiful clubhouse and a lovely setting as well.
The 100 yd targets were called bowling pins but most thought they really represented Liberal politicians. :>)

It is not too late grasshopper, to branch out into a flintlock carbine with a 42 inch barrel :>) :>)

I was worried about the tide rising so I camped in my economy camper as per the photo; stayed warm and dry.

I used to Camp at that spot where the Club house is Before it was ever there.
Well more over where you were as that area was Gated off.
Man they were smart to buy that land!
I cant wait for the up comeing Gun show there! Thats my Favorite one to go to on VI

Thats the best Range ive ever been to for senic beauty!
That lake is like the Ocean with it Riseing and Lowering alot.
