Hi,

Anyone who has looked at the E.E recently or not been asleep for the past 5 months knows that a lot of us have been hit hard by Covid 19. Though many are essential workers (myself included in theory) we are out of work and the forestry and oil and gas industries are suffering.

I had the idea that some users may be struggling with bills and feeding their families, trying to keep their heads above water at this time.

My solution to this for us on CGN would be to donate game meat locally to any users or friends of users who have fallen upon hard times.

For the purposes of this thread I say we post our general area, what we have available to donate and/or any families we know of that may be in need of some food. Obviously it is not necessary to post a request for food in the thread, PM is totally acceptable.

I'll start us off, I'm located in the PG area and would be happy to give around 20 lbs of bear meat to a family or individual who has fallen upon hard times.

Hopefully we can get this working as well as the Fort Mac hunting rifle relief thread!

This is a truly righteous post, my friend! Firearms community taking care of each other and the greater community at large. If I had meat in the freezer, I would be first to share. Unfortunately, I am not in abundance of anything, accept for good spirit! Fortunately, I am still able to provide for my family. God bless!

Link for that? I can't seem to find the thread.

SWO here, Dashwood area. I've given much of my stock to family members but there are several egg farmers local to me and I could easily deliver a flat or two, or 6. Also a local pork butcher and several beef butchers I could make a run to. I can also do a grocery store run for those in need of necessities. I'd need a specific list though, otherwise you could end up with 3 cases of powerade, 14 bags of 2 bite brownies and a package of bacon. Yes I'm a bachelor, why do you ask?
