COVID, et al and your buying habits

I’m young and still live with my parents. If they found out how much money I’ve spent on firearms during the past few months, they would probably disown me ($8,000 in firearms alone, and another grand or two in parts/magazines/ammo).

I really should be saving up for my own apartment, but this OIC has forced me to make some crazy dumb financial moves..

At least it’s not drugs..?

I may send out a survey on this subject, but I thought I'd ask here first.

How has COVID and the new gun ban affected your gun buying?

Are you buying less/more?

Buying different things?

We have seen what is likly the biggest 1 2 punch against the industry in it's history.

We all hope the anti virus for Covid can be found soon. The gun ban is a much darker cloud that is hanging over everyone’s head. To answer your question the effect of the gun ban brought all my purchasing to a halt.

A lot of LGS must feel like Lebaron’s and Sail.

Bought a $155k USD 5 axis CNC because of Covid, 35% off so I made it a life mission.

Yes I over extended myself way too much..

Also picked up way more from EE than I should have.

Regarding buying from dealers, not answering phones or taking a while to respond I lose my focus and often. Don't follow through due to my ADHD and simply side tracked. Your sales agent would benefit by listing work cell number for impulsive individuals like myself

Buying, a couple more firearms, and a trove of ammo. According to manufactures down south, Covid/ buying caused from protest is going to take them a year to 28 months to get back to pre-covid supply.

Buy what you can now, prices will only continue to rise.

Almost stopped all fireams purchases, inventories are low and the offering… Well, it been better before.

On the other hand i bought brand new Swarzoski and a S&B scopes and i am having a 3D printer installed at my Ontario farm, Carl my grandboy, do wonder with it.

Fascinating.

Stopped buying firearms. Well did buy a 300wm that was a deal.
I find most prices on firearms are really inflated. Even at the retailers. As soon as covid hit it gave the excuse to raise prices. I did make sure I am stocked with Ammunition just in case there are shortages coming.
With the uncertainty of the bans coming in it really does not make sence to add the the collection except for bolt guns. Semi's and levers could be prohib in a month or to and who wants a safe full of paper weights?

More over moving to buying more makeup and dresses............oh wait. Did I say that out loud!?!? I mean, I have honestly bought the same. My ammo storage is full now (because of the clubs closing for a bit)and I've bought a few things out of bordem at home. The AR thing has made me refocus on my latest buy of a GSG16 and how I can modify it. Past that it seems like business as usual. Hopefully we can kick Trudeau out of office and back to his home country of Cuba and get on with our lives as usual.

Ive got 2 maxed credit cards and im training my dog to answer the door , "he's at mikes"

People does not belive that we can reverse and stop OIC with lawyers as I see.....

Didn't change a lot but the range was closed, so I bought fewer loading supplies and some powders were harder to find.

Same here. Ranges being closed/operating on lower capacity is mainly what is driving my drop in $ spent on firearms. No fun buying ammo and guns when you cant use them.

Would have probably been out shooting a good 20 times by now. Ive only been 3 times so far this year.

I have spent a fair bit of money on new molds and casting equipment, as well as a high quality pistol to add to the collection. I've also picked up a lever and bolt action with tons of reloading stuff for all. My long range rifle is banned so my scope upgrade will end up on a different rifle when I decide what scope I want. I won't be able to shoot until October so I'm hoping that nothing else I have will be affected by the ban before i get to use my new stuff.
