I got her with my Dad's Win 88/308 with a 200gr cast boolit. A clean kill and dropped her in her tracks. Boolit passed clean thru taking out lungs. I'll be feasting on the tenderloins tonight with my family

Interesting choice with the cast bullets. Looks just as dead as mine though.


I've been trying to buy my uncles pristine 88/ .308 for over 30 years. If I would have just stolen it he would have forgotten by now. It not like he's ever going to use it.

Dogleg, I actually got the 200gr cast /308 idea off another CGN who used this combo for a muley doe last year. Great penetration!

Hey Thanks everyone. I wish everyone else's hunt is successful this year and their long awaited draw tags get rightfully filled
As for me, I'm pretty much done except I might still go after a meat deer. Today the lovely wife and I will be taking the trim and grinding it to burger.
