And old 1911's still kick butt! At the Montana State Championships this last weekend , one of the side matches was a Wild Bunch Match. I took 3rd place in the Traditional category with a 1911 which was manufactured in 1914 and seen probably seen service on the Western Front with a Canadian soldier in 1915. Old is good! But the original front & rear sights do suck a lot!!!![]()
I like those old sites, as they force you to get the gun right up level with your eye so shooting them becomes almost as simple as looking at the target. That's just me though. Congrats on coming in 3rd. If I ever came in 3rd, I'd likely have a heart attack in disbelief
