Dont say where you are, makes difficult, Prov of Buffalo? Medicine hat has a great bunch of CAS people.

When: Sunday 27 July 2008
Cost: $10.00
Start time: 10 AM (except in case of an act of gawd!)
Stages: 5
You need bullets: 1) Pistol 40 rds
2) Rifle 46 rds
3) Shotgun 25 rds

i'm a member of the alberta frontier shootists out of rocky mountain house and i sure would like to know how to get ahold of these people in medicine hat... as i live in strathmore and it would be closer to go to a different shoot

The Province of Buffalo was an area of western Canada. The Liberal Gov't of the day thought that this might make too powerful of an electoral district in western Canada so they did not allow it.
The Province of Buffalo was one of several proposals for the area of what would become Alberta and Saskatchewan. Haultain proposed the idea 1904, stating that "One big province would be able to do things no other province could." At the time the majority of Calgarians and Edmontonians disagreed with the proposal, since Haultain thought the capital of the new province should be Regina, but the two major western cities each had their own ambitions to be a capital city (Edmonton eventually became the capital of Alberta). Laurier eventually decided to carve two provinces out of that section of the North-West Territories by dividing the land up vertically. This created Alberta in the west, and Saskatchewan in the east.

The AFS puts on one of the best matches in Western Canada on the August long weekend in Rocky Mountain House. If you wanted to see what CAS was about that is the place to check it out. I will be there and you are welcome to try my guns at the practice stage.
