Early-style pump-action and lever-action shotguns are OK for CAS (provided that they have an exposed hammer, e.g. Winchester Model 1897) but in order to "level the field" with others who use double-barrel shotguns, the rules stipulate that no more than two shells can be loaded into a shotgun at a time. Some shooters of the pumps just find that it is quicker or more efficient (for them at least) to "load one, shoot one" rather than "load two, shoot two" ...Long LEE said:I'm scratching my head just a little..... why do they use pump shotguns in CAS but they shoot them like single shot, shotgun???? :?
