So on Saturday I picked up a Henry .22 Mag to complete my cowboy up collection. The Henry in .22 mag and the Stevens Fav in .17HMR. Sunday while watching the game I stripped them both down and using a technique I read on the Henry forum proceeded to polish them up. I can't believe how much both stocks pop now. The Stevens looks like you could cut yourself on the grain of the wood.

Man I wish we had a more steady supply of Henry rifles up here... Sweet 22 mag... I've always wondered how accurate these little 22 mags are, anyone shoot one regularly
 
Kamlooky- Its not a secret...... you start with a few coats of stuff called ScratchX which you can get at Canadian Tire then finish it with a few coats of Minwax wood wax paste. Make sure you take the wood off the rifle as you don't want it messing with the metal finish.
Skip 1600- everyone online says for the most part these little guns are shooters. There was a tag with the rifle listing for things.
1) fit
2) finish
3) testfire
4) ready for shipping

Now I've bought a few rifles, and several of them 22's, but this is the first where it had a card like this attached to the rifle and every step signed off personally by a real person's signature. That may not mean much to some but to me it shows pride in quality. If she shoots half as good as I hope it does then this summer I'll be picking up 2 more.... another lever in 22lr and a pump for the GF.
 
Trust me, soon as this -30 weather passes us by I'll be out with the Henry and looking for its first target. I see a few coyotes everyday on the way to work and I swear to god its like they are mocking me!!
 
Forgot to mention that too~nice-looking rifles! :) Now, post some gopher shots when the time comes...but not too many. I'm in Ontario...and have "gopher envy". :)
