Winchester model 97 pump now appears to be the only legal pump shotgun, for SASS sanctioned events.

That's kind of unfortunate. A new club member bought and old marlin pump with a hammer in really nice shape. I can't see it being a problem at "club" shoots but it will be unfortunate for him if he wants to attend any out of town SASS sanctioned matches.
