My aunt gave me a box full of shooting related junk and among the treasures I recovered from it were 2 full bricks of Cox universal Killer Cartridges. These I believe are nothing more than Crimped .22 blanks for A captive bolt gun. The cartridges are crimped with a green lacquer sealing the end, or posiibly to denote the power of the blank. Does anybody have any experience with the COX universal Killer or even have a Picture I have looked but have been unsuccessful?

I would side with cation in not puting those in any 22 rimfire rifle as they MAY BE FOR A HILTI GUN!! they are used for puting nails into cement!!! As my freind did this to his dads BRNO #1 and blew the bolt head apart:slap: Or they may just might be for a cartridge converter for a centre fire rifle in the use of firing lead balls down the bore with the use of the blank. But they may just be what they claim a blank for a starter pistol, or maybe a shot shell cartridge, I would appreciate a picture of the box and 1 of the rounds,Dale in T-Bay

Yep, I seen .22s at crappy tire, crimped with a green lacquer sealing the end, for nail guns.

After a google search it does seem like they used them in one of those captive bolt guns. Green is for 'large animals.'
Just google "COX universal Killer"
Maybe a farmer will want them?

That box is exactly what I have, I am actually now looking for a captive boltgun, I frequently am called when deer get hit and putting them down with a boltgun is much more humane that cutting their throats. Thanks for the info guys.
